Registration Announcement for THOT Training Program

Registrations for the upcoming THOT training program will officially open on August 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. Participants are advised to note that the registration form will remain open for exactly 48 hours, closing on August 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. This time frame is fixed and will not be extended, regardless of the number of applications received. Given the high demand observed in previous sessions, where over 800 applications were submitted for approximately 40 available spots, we urge associations, accommodation centers, and individuals supporting exiled persons to limit their registrations to no more than four individuals per entity.

Program Details

The THOT training is an intensive 16-week program, running from September 23, 2024, to December 20, 2024. Participants will be expected to commit 10 hours per week to their studies. French courses will be held in Saint-Denis, conveniently located next to the Gare de Saint Denis RER D station. Due to space constraints and our focus on providing a conducive learning environment for our students, in-person registrations are not possible. Additionally, our current premises are not accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Commitment to Learning

Candidates should be fully aware of the commitment required to successfully complete the THOT training program. The curriculum is rigorous, with mandatory attendance for all courses, and absences will be closely monitored throughout the session. To emphasize the importance of this commitment, it is mandatory for each candidate to personally fill out their registration form, which is available in Pashto, Farsi, Arabic, and English. Exceptions are made for those who are unable to read or write or whose language is not covered by the translations provided.

The Hot Shooter course is an intensive weekend training designed for Assistant Producers, DV Directors, and Junior Producers with some shooting experience. This course aims to enhance participants' skills in capturing high-quality footage, particularly in actuality, observational documentaries, and factual sequences. The course covers various aspects of shooting, from technical skills like understanding lenses, ISO, aperture, and filters, to practical tips for creating stunning images and managing multiple cameras.
